Version 1.01, 22nd September 2005 URLs Homepage, Download (18 KB)

Introduction

A secure file deletion utility for RISC OS. It will ensure that files can be securely deleted with no chance of recovery.

Latest Changes

Fixing a couple of trivial bugs and adding the ability to have three levels of security.

Details

Utilising military grade 'nuking', it uses multiple passes of over 30
different bit patterns to ensure that the data is permanently destroyed and
the magnetic pattern on the disc securely scrambled so data cannot be
recovered by forensic analysis.

FileNuke is the first utility of a new suite of 'security and privacy'
applications I'm currently developing. Next will be FileCrypt, a simple and
easy way to strong encrypt files and data using GnuPG.
