Remember that most email packages that provide filtering facilities only allow you to filter email AFTER it has been downloaded. MailScout provides an additional level of protection in that you can filter out email BEFORE it is downloaded.

It includes a filtering system which allows the application to spot suspected junk emails and automatically flag them for deletion (based on 'kill words' in the filter files relating to an email's 'From','To' or 'Subject' header fields).
